Directions to Rapids Jet
Rapids Jet Taupo is the Number 1 Jet Boat Ride in Taupo. Part of the attraction of being the best Jet Boat Ride is our amazing location on the shores of the Waikato River. We have provided directions on how to get to us below wether coming from Taupo City Centre or Rotorua City. It is really easy to get here but we want to ensure you don’t get lost or are late for your Jet Boat experience booking!
Directions from TAUPO to Rapids Jet
Head towards Rotorua on State Highway 5.
At the roundabout go straight through heading towards Rotourua, State Highway 5 .
Aratiatia Road turn off is 2kms further towards Rotorua or 12kms North of Taupo
Turn right into Aratiatia Road. It is signposted “Aratiatia Rapids, Rapids Jet, River Cruises”
Continue on Aratiatia Road, across the bridge at Aratiatia Dam (Click here to heck out Dam open times)
Turn left approximately 1km past the bridge into Rapids Road
Turn right into Nga Awa Purua Road, clearly signposted.
Rapids Jet Base is located 300m down Nga Awa Purua Road on the left hand side

Directions From ROTORUA to Rapids Jet
Head towards Taupo on State Highway 5. Approximately 70kms from Rotrorua.
Turn left onto Aratiatia Road (look out for the Rapids Jet Boat Sign on the left of the Road too)
Additional sign post 300 metres before the turn off which states “Aratatia Rapids, Rapids Jet, River Cruises”
Continue on Aratiatia Road, across the bridge at Aratiatia Dam (Click here for Aratiatia Dam Opening times)
Turn left after 1 km past the bridge into Rapids Road
Turn right into Nga Awa Purua Road, clearly sign posted from here.
Rapids Jet is located 300m down Nga Awa Pururua Road on the left side
