All-Summer-Long Taupō Events 

Every Sunday in December until April there is a Sunday Farmers and Craft Market, Market Central Taupō that runs from 9am – 1pm. Expect to find treasures from talented local artists, makers, and creators. With many food trucks and arts & crafts stalls it’s the perfect place to grab a bite to eat or a gift for a loved one, before jumping aboard our 2:30pm jetboat trip. 

Getting hungry? Be sure to check out Dinner at the Lake: Every Thursday from December 21st – Feb 7th, 4.30pm – 8.30pm down at Northcroft Reserve on the lakefront.  

January Taupō Events 

Taupō Summer Concert: Sat 27 Jan 2024, 10:00am – 6:30pm  

Experience the fun and festivities of the Taupō Summer Concert. This music extravaganza boasts a stellar lineup of artists against the backdrop of a warm Kiwi summer. Revel in a day of sensational tunes, good vibes, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Join the celebration of music in this lively event that promises to be the highlight of your summer.  

Historical Cycle Tour: Fri 19 Jan 2024, 9:00am – 11:30am 

After a fast-paced jetboat ride, turn the pace down a little and embark on a lakefront cycle tour departing from Taupō Museum. You’ll learn the Māori history of the area on a guided ride through significant historical sites. Bring your own bike or e-bike and discover more about the town’s fascinating past. 

February Taupō Events 

Whakaipo Lodge Summer Concert – Sat 24th February 4pm – 7pm 

A weekend of fun set at the Whakaipo Lodge, just 20 minutes’ drive from Rapids Jet. Event packages on offer include two nights’ accommodation, food and music. With performances from Hobnail and The Andrew London Duo it is a weekend of luxury and entertainment, and proceeds go towards the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter. 

March Taupō Events 

Tutus on Tour – Tue 12th March 2024 – 7pm 

Our jetboats sure know how to dance and spin on the whitewater rapids! Continue the moves with Tutus on Tour, which will captivate with excerpts from Russell Kerr’s Swan Lake, featuring iconic dances and dazzling designs. This ballet journey blends classical splendour, innovative choreography, and emotional depth. Don’t miss the enchantment of Tutus on Tour, where timeless elegance meets modern artistry. 

April Taupō Events 

Taupō Home & Garden Show 2024: Fri 12th – Sun 14th April  

With exclusive specials, giveaways, and expert panels there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Taupō Home and Garden show. Designed to inspire and instil fresh ideas for your home and next project, big or small. Backyard jetboat, anyone?
